Tim and Dre always dreamed of building something together — something rooted in purpose, hospitality, and hard work. It didn’t happen overnight. Years of friendship and countless entrepreneurial experiments quietly laid the groundwork, sharpening their instincts and clarifying their vision.
At the end of 2022, the right opportunity finally came into focus. A space in Sayville, NY, opened up, and with total conviction, they left behind their management careers to pursue what they believed in wholeheartedly. With the support of an incredible contractor and design team, Dark Horse Coffee & Kitchen was born. On May 10th, 2023, the doors opened, and the Sayville community welcomed us with open arms.
Now, just over two years later, we’re thrilled to announce our next chapter: Dark Horse is coming to Port Jefferson, NY. We couldn’t be more excited to join such a vibrant, historic, and welcoming community. Our mission remains the same: to offer the best version of people, local food, and service, and we can’t wait to bring that to the heart of Port Jeff.
